You can't always 'hold' what you want

Kathleen, my youngest triplet is growing up and learning that some things are not hers. While at the park this week, she was quite curious about this little girl, and the toy car that she is holding.  It was just a darling moment, particularly when she backed up and sat down right next to her.

This was after the girl began crying really hard when she let go of her car down the slide and Kathleen ran over and picked it up. She didn't want anyone touching her car, as her Nanny told me it was her favorite car and it went everywhere with her.  I quickly told Kathleen that it was not hers, that it was the little girls toy, and that she had to give it back. She readily held it out to give it back.

I felt real proud of her behavior and learning that although she Really Really wanted to hold that car while she sat there next to her, she instead sat quietly with her hands to herself. That's a tough thing to learn.
A look of please?

Okay fine. I'll just keep sitting here.
